Drawing is the discipline by which I constantly rediscover the world. I have learned that what I have not drawn, I have never really seen, and that when I start drawing an ordinary thing, I realize how extraordinary it is, sheer miracle.

Specialising in drawing, Sherry worked in London for 25 years teaching and developing drawing workshops for a wide range of students of all ages and abilities. Now based in Belfast, drawing remains the cornerstone of her art practice.
As a musician , Sherry worked in collaborative arts projects for four decades - devising, performing and improvising with performance artists and storytellers, contemporary dance, and in fringe theatre throughout the UK, Europe and most recently at the Smithsonian Institute with Xanthe Gresham-Knight.
Sherry is a member of the Belfast based string trio Seefin, performing original compositions inspired by landscape and legend.
